This gave me an idea

My Brit Lit class is learning about canterbury tales right now so i might play this for the class. A+ guaranteed. Also, this is a real good song 5/5 10/10 :)

Reali-tGlitch responds:

i recommend playing the Acolyte or The Watcher first. They aren't as in-your-face as this one. Of course, tell them the story behind them first XD.

That would be cool though.

Tasty!

Cool samples and very groovy tune but theres one thing i got a gripe with. The samples are really hard to hear man, I dont know if its overuse of effects or poor mixing/mastering but otherwise you got a good track 5/5 10/10 :)

AnubisInc responds:

I can raise the volume on them a bit, it's just because I've got them layered over each other. Thanks for the review!

Some fuckin cool shit here

The diversity of all your sounds is what hooked me. All this shit simply sounds cool. Don't know how you made any of this shit but I definetely dig it 5/5 10/10 :)

FelTiProductions responds:

wow, thanks, i make them in fruity loops...

This shit right here...

Uplifts the soul dude. I don't know if you know the korean MC, MC Sniper, but this beat is very similar to his style. Anyways, the beats got alot of emotions (sad but hopeful) and you can really see the effort in detail so this is definetely a got dam 5/5 10/10 :)

also kind of sounds like something from studio ghibli

TheFantasyClub responds:

Thanks dude!

For first hip hop post....

Gotta say its damn good, but I have one problem with it, the drums samples are a bit high pitched. However thats so minor compared to the awesome synth work and smooth strings. This is some good work 5/5 10/10 :)

Petethatguy responds:

Thanks dude! I love making hip hop beats every now and then :) thanks for the review

But I'm not a rapper

Got an ambient feel hear, and I love the bass in your drums. Very creepy tone and feel set by all the reverb on the drums, and btw Rayman is the shit. I dig this and i can honestly only give this a 6/10 tho.......SIKE! thats the wrong numba 5/5 10/10 :)

TheEyeOfMusiK responds:

your review? ... l like that!

Smooth as a silk tuxedo...

Thank you so much for sending me this :)! I've got nothing bad to say here. This is some buttery slickness and I don' t think it's all that repetitive (especially if someone was rapping to it). All in all, props for this jam, and keep bringin the land o lakes my man 5/5 10/10 :)

DJM00se responds:

thanks a lot bro! haha land o lakes all day!

Amazed thus far

This beat has got so many nice elements that go perfectly together. Its a real good blend of oldskool samples and modern synths/sounds. Got an J Dilla vibe goin here, keep up the good work man, 5/5 10/10

aliasf responds:

thanks man ha you got some dope beats yourself

I dig it, wholeheartedly

Many different and diverse sounds. Held together very nicely by the main piano. I really like the balance of this track, it's really peaceful. Dopeness, 5/5 10/10 :)

A suggestion...

Instead of having that odd instrument come in at around :37 (didnt know if it was piano or strings or something else) you could put in some sort of bassline. I say this because the piano work is very good and the background noise is entrancing, but this song seems to be lacking in bass elements and replacing that instrument with some sort of bass would make the sound of the song more complete and help the other instruments sound more flushed out. I don't know much about your kind of music (ambient/classical/misc) but it's just a suggestion. Anyways, 4/5 8/10

PIED3 responds:

You're totally right, i'm awful with bass lines and i never remember to put bassier parts in my pieces. Definitely a good suggestion, and i'm always looking for those ;p Thanks for reviewing!
